ASEAN International Fashion Week 2024

With excitement in the air and seats packed with an international array of esteemed guests, VICETA WANG debuted their Pre-Spring Summer 2025 collection at Singapore’s ASEAN International Fashion Week 2024. The highly-anticipated event was held inside Singapore’s iconic cultural landmark, the ArtScience Museum, located on the prestigious Marina Bay overlooking the tranquil waters. VICETA WANG were invited to participate as one of the 48 international designers, hailing from 15 diverse countries.
Held on the 7th-9th of June, the festival boasted 6 unique runway showcases with a focus on sustainability and innovative technology across the industry. On Saturday evening, guests sat down to an open air runway show presenting the first international lineup of designers. The brand’s capsule collection shared the runway among a myriad of modern evening wear that was reflected in the still water captured by the Rain Oculus.

Bright red energised the runway in stunning full volume gowns, while warm gold and pearl white was used gracefully in a collection of glorious summer gowns. Accent belting set off modern suiting silhouettes, and padded shoulders gave the pieces a fresh cut perfect for tropical heat while still maintaining an air of sophistication. The collection stayed true to its A-line silhouette and signature detailing such as the statement drop-fringing and heritage lattice element.

Expertly designed by renowned architect Moshe Safdie, the ArtScience Museum has a distinct lotus-inspired structure that resonates with the lotus flower pond surrounding it. The impressive structure has earned itself the prestigious LEED Platinum certification, making it the first museum in Asia Pacific to obtain the highest level of a globally recognised achievement in sustainability. Its Rain Oculus feature recycles almost 1,400,000 litres of rain water each year, which is repurposed in its landscaping and water features that set the scene for the runway shows.
The extensive guest list included ambassadors from all parts of the globe, as well as Singapore’s Australian ambassador, Mr Allaster Cox who met with the brand’s founder and CEO at the runway pre-party. 987FM The Knockout’s producer-presenter and DJ (Mediacorp), Germaine Leonora, and TV host and 987FM radio host and DJ, Ann Nicole, were styled in VICETA WANG for the special occasion. Leonora models a silky two-tone number adorned with a rose belt, and Nicole is dressed in a silk ombre strappy dress with a heritage knot detail and later switched to a stunning blue silk jacquard dress with signature rose embellishments and a front leg slit highlighting Nicole’s modelling prowess. All three pieces were featured in the SERENITY collection that debuted at Shanghai Fashion Week.

The event also presented the best talent from local designers and aimed to foster international relations. A designer pop-up shop was situated in the ArtScience Museum for guests to peruse before and after each runway show. An expert panel headlined discussions held on the impact and importance of sustainability in the fashion and technology industries. Further talks were opened to the floor to discuss future visions of the fashion industry and its impact on our planet.
